![]() Garliage citidal the bones and bats GOV with shantoto, A-M, and kupipi for those interested. (took about 6 hours to casually get to 51 with trusts, while I was also running around on my main doing other things. ![]() I actually took my primary alts dnc to 51 rather than going to abyssea at 30 to get the rest, cause the xp was just going so fast. idk, up to the player, but on my mules, the first job to 99 is done through trusts. 300-450k xp /hr is great and all, but when you cap out your five levels at 100k, and it takes you 1 hour to get up to the 300-450k/hr, and you are leeching, so will need to level your weapons. It really isn't going to be that bad, especially if you are doing GOV at the same time. Just bang out some quick xp, and do your next quest. By the time abyssea xp ramps up for you at lower levels, unless there is the event that pre builds lights, it isn't worth it. I think soloing with trusts/randoms is going to be your fastest way on your first trip to 99. You can expect an EXP yield of 300-450k/hr.Įdit 2: Here's an even better/more recent guide for levelling : You will need some Cruor to buy Forbidden Keys in order to be a keyer, so if this is your first job you will probably have to be above level 80 to be invited as a DD, unless the alliance lead is nice enough to allow you to leech. ![]() Once inside Abyssea, head to (L-8) where you will find a bunch of Rock Grinders and a plethora of players. Once you have a few Traverser Stones, go to La Theine Plateau (D-4) and enter the maw. Level 30-99: See the Abyssea section below. Gusgen Mines page 2 can be completed right up to level 30 or beyond. Level 20-30: Maze of Shakhrami and Gusgen Mines are best for this level range. You can find equivalent spots in Konschtat Highlands and La Theine Plateau. ![]() The best solo spot is probably Tahrongi Canyon, page 4, (G-8), with a max level of 19. Level 10-20: Two zones away from your city, you will find tougher mobs. Take up an Individual Training regimen to earn tabs, and use the tabs for Reraise, Regen, Refresh, Protect, Shell, and Dry Meat, depending on how much you want to spend. Before you begin, grab Signet, and find the floating Field Manual outside the city gate. I have a few level 1 jobs I need to unlock and start levelling like PLD, DRG, GEO, and RUN.Įdit: Okay, so generally I was about right. Last I remember I would do 1-10 in a starter area, jumping into Gusgen Mines from 10-30, and then Abyssea -> 99. :/ I still play and have a great time with my current guildies and raid buddies, but I'm basically out of real-life friends to play with, and it's just not the same.Should I just follow the old methods of FoV and GoV until 30? So one of them I've basically lost contact with, and he doesn't play anymore because he "doesn't think he can play the game if she's there" and the other ran into financial issues and can't really afford to play anymore. Unfortunately, said two friends were dating and eventually had a really messy breakup. It was great, we progressed, and we actually did make it all the way through the raid, and everyone had a good time. We ran on Friday/Saturday nights so every Friday we'd go to the local Indian restaurant (to the point that they recognized us and memorized our orders) and then go back to the apartment for the raid. So the three of us got to actually lead the raid, and we always had a great time. Not my first raid experience by far, but at the time I was in college, and my two best friends and I were in a great guild of really nice people (finally, after our guild from Wrath fell apart after the GM got married and quit the game), and there were enough people for a second raid team to spin up. Hard to pick any more stand-outs because it's been a while.Īnd this is gonna be a weird one because it's not from Vanilla/BC, but Dragon Soul (if raid instances are allowed to count as zones). ![]() Just generally a lot of nostalgia around the pre-Cata zones. Stormwind because of how much like a city it felt compared to Darnassus and Ironforge, and that great music. That first MMO experience was amazing, as said by many others in this thread. Teldrassil because I started there back in Vanilla. ![]()
